Our lab’s work has been featured by UTA, Dallas Morning News, MSN, Medical Xpress, and others, discussing a recent study on guided cognitive training and its impact on brain network function and behavioural performance.

The article, published recently in eLife, reports that young adults who completed 12 sessions of training in spatial navigation and verbal memory exhibited measurable improvements – not via structural brain changes, but through functional re-organization of neural networks supporting cognitive performance.

This work was in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Arizona, including Arne Ekstrom and Li Zheng!
