Profile
I’m a PhD candidate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida, working with Dr. Steven Weisberg and Dr. Andreas Keil. My research sits at the intersection of cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence. I use computational methods including deep learning, virtual reality, and neuroimaging (fMRI) to understand how people navigate their environments and how these abilities change across the lifespan and in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
My work addresses questions like: What navigation strategies do people use, and how do they differ across age groups? Can we predict individual differences in spatial behavior from brain structure? How does the brain segment continuous experiences into meaningful events? I combine behavioral experiments with machine learning approaches to build models that connect neural structure to cognitive function.
Before coming to UF, I completed an Integrated M.Sc. in Biological Sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar, India, where I worked on drug delivery systems and computational neuroscience. This interdisciplinary background gives me a unique perspective on cognitive neuroscience. I bring tools from computer science, neuroscience, and biology to understand the mind.
